Apogee Engineering is actively seeking a full-time Information Management Support (IMS) Specialist supporting the Department of Transportation's Crisis Management Center (CMC) in Washington, DC

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting in administrating, maintaining and training WebEOC and DOT Alerts
  • Performing periodic active directory uploads to maintain communication groups in DOT Alerts
  • Monitoring DOT Alerts feedback email inbox for user assistance and feedback, track issues, and assist DOT Alerts COR with resolution
  • Maintaining message templates for emergency use (requires HTML knowledge)
  • Preparing agenda for monthly DOT Alerts steering committee meetings
  • Operating classified communications equipment including classified fax machines, satellite telephones and STEs
  • Setting up new user accounts and monitor users for dormant accounts
  • Preparing agenda for monthly WebEOC steering committee meetings
  • Assisting WebEOC COR in coordinating issues with WebEOC vendor
  • Maintaining CMC Master access list, contact lists, and Outlook groups
  • Designating trusted agent for Dept of Homeland Security (DHS) Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) (secret network) to set up new DOT user accounts and issue account tokens
  • Assisting watch staff with operations of communications equipment and testing, scheduling of conference rooms, teleconferences and scheduling CMC tours
  • Maintaining access to the DOT computer network, classified networks and DOT facilities

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a technical discipline
  • 3+ years of experience managing IT systems, data bases and working in a fast pace operational environment
  • Knowledge and experience writing HTML
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience/background using classified networks; experience in DHS HSDN is desired
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I Certification (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CNA-Security) is desired
  • Be a US Citizen
  • Active Top Secret Security clearance, with Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) eligibility
