Apogee Engineering is looking for a full-time Sr. Defense Analyst located at Peterson AFB. Our Senior Defense Analyst provides review, planning, development, coordination, collaboration, problem resolution and analysis of plans, policies, and procedures related to the implementation of NMW operations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing situational awareness of vessels of interest (VOI) outside of 96 hours' Notice of Arrival
  • Maintaining currency, relevance, and accuracy of NORAD policies, procedures, plans and tracking issues as it relates to the Maritime mission
  • Analyzing NMW equities and updates in support of PJBD, MCC, and Tri-Command staff talks
  • Making recommendations for resolution of JLLIS observations and input into forensic reconstruction of event for analysis
  • Providing SME support in meetings by means of meeting minutes and recommendations on issues touching the NMW mission
  • Coordinating within HQ N-NC to update information and intelligence requirements to support CCIRS, FFIRS, and PIRS
  • Briefing results to senior leadership on efforts to achieve All Domain Awareness in support of NMW mission
  • Analyzing key maritime issues, as well as, reviewing and drafting policies, procedures, and operational plans related to NORAD Maritime equities for Government approval
  • Providing analytical products to include draft NORAD Maritime Advisory or Warning Messages

What you'll need to have:

  • Active TS/SCI Required
  • 7+ years of experience in operations and plans for the Maritime Warning (5 years providing direct support to N/J3)
  • Extensive background in maritime warning operations with previous experience working in the NORAD- NORTHCOM Command Center preferred
  • Experience NORAD-NORTHCOM policies, procedures, operations, and missions
  • MA/MS in a related field
