Apogee Engineering is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst located at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This role will advise the Joint Information Operations Warfare Center (JIOWC) Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) efforts in the assessment and authorization process for networks, enclaves, systems, and tools on the (JIOWC) IT systems, in support of JIOWC's objectives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Facilitating the JIOWC's ISSO efforts in developing packages in the DoD Cybersecurity program management tools
  • Advising the JIOWC's ISSO efforts in authoring, editing, and/or updating System Security Plans (SSPs) and system documentation as required
  • Maintaining the JIOWC Software License Management program in support of the JIOWC's IT Acquisition, Finance ad Requirements Manager to ensure the JIOWC remains complaint with all software rules and regulations
  • Advising the JIOWC's ISSO incident response team with reporting, evaluation, data recovery efforts, audits, and problem resolution as required
  • Providing training to security staff on all cybersecurity policies and processes as required
  • Participating in conferences, technical interchange meetings, and user group meetings as a representative of the JIOWC
  • Keeping up to date standards for all networks that JIOWC operates to ensure all products submitted for publication are site compatible and meet required standards

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field
  • 7+ years' experience in Cybersecurity program administration and assessment and authorization of systems
  • 3+ years' experience with Cybersecurity Incident Response and management
  • IAM Level 2 certification, and Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Possess knowledge of DoD TEMPEST regulations and requirements
  • Knowledge of and training in the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization process
