Apogee Engineering is seeking an experienced Web Application Developer located at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This role will perform site content updates, document the web environment and configuration, and manage material that has been approved by the Chief, Joint Information Operations Warfare Center (JIOWC) Strategic Intelligence, Operations and Plans Division.

What you'll be doing:

  • Granting access privileges and coordinating replication servers with system administrators
  • Implementing web-based security and access controls requested by content providers to ensure government directed levels of confidentiality, integrity, and availability
  • Monitoring web server traffic, performance, and tune websites as requested
  • Providing monthly/period status reports documenting the overall status of the web servers, system performance, new products and outstanding issues with providers of data
  • Creating custom web forms as required to implement operational event tracking, surveys, event registrations, training compliance, and other web-based activities
  • Providing content training to those personnel appointed by JIOWC divisions to be content managers
  • Participating on teams to create standards and architecture for interfaces linking the corporate website to databases and the wide area networks
  • Incorporating JIOWC developed forms, scripts, interfaces, and databases into JIOWC websites.
  • Utilizing development tools for graphics design which include Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Adobe Captivate
  • Maintaining all network standards that the JIOWC operates on to ensure all products submitted for publication are site compatible and meet current required standards
  • Coordinating activities with the Network Administration Team to achieve optimum system performance levels and ensure system availability

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field
  • Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • 7+ years' experience in maintaining web based applications/websites
  • 5+ years' experience with at least one of the following web development software and technologies in use at the JIOWC: Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Captivate. 
    • Microsoft .Net environment
    • Adobe Coldfusion Application server and Coldfusion rapid application development language
    • Web server software (e.g. Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) web server)
    • Microsoft SharePoint Server
